r5: merry whistler. don't know who'll pick up the mount on this cerin trainee, but this son of siphon is bred to be something nice and meets an otherwise nondescript maiden specials. b/c cerin doesn't win often first time out, i'll also use the favorite, golden souvenir and the outside horse, harry bailey in my pick 6.
r7: americna liberty. i cashed nicely on slewston last time, so it hurts me to go against him, but american liberty looks like he's just coming into his own as a four year old. 'liberty comes from a major, major family of producers owned by the cowans (think war chant and hollywood wildcat). up the ladder into stakes next.
r10: golden shine. this colt left his race at the starting gate last time with his pre-race antics. he's drilled like a machine since and hoffmans does great with these types.
